I recently posted on social media forums about the 90th anniversary of the birth of the late great actor Brian Wilde.  Brian has long been a favourite of mine for his fine performances in both Last of the Summer Wine, as Foggy, and Porridge, as Mr Barrowclough.  The responses to these posts showed that I was not alone in holding Brian’s performances in such high regard and with such affection.

This reminded me that Brian’s son, Andrew Wilde had worked on Last of the Summer Wine as film editor for many years.  I contacted him and was really pleased when he agreed to an interview both on his role working on the series and on his father’s career. My thanks to him for making his time available to share these memories.

So as Foggy might say, “Pay attention that man!” – here is the interview.
