I was thrilled and honoured when Hugh Fraser agreed to do the first interview for this site.

Agatha Christie’s Poirot, in which Hugh played Captain Hastings, graced our TV screens for 25 years, running from 1989 to 2013.  The series was a beautiful, quality production and there was just as much enjoyment to be had watching the relationships between the regular characters, Poirot, Hastings, Miss Lemon and Japp, as from the mysteries themselves.

Hugh not only tells me about playing Hastings, but also about his crime thriller books and musical talents.  The tantalising idea of a bass battle between Captain Hastings and Miss Lemon is mentioned – now that is a charity event I would definitely like to see!

My thanks and appreciation to Hugh for making time available for the interview.  I hope that you enjoy it.
